... where visionaries, game changers, and challengers discuss business models
Business Model Canvas can be used for stock investment purpose. Sometimes we are so entangled with the study of ratio analysis, charts, fundamental and technical analysis, yet the bedrock of good investment intuition is the understanding of the business model of the company. In this discussion, lets apply the Canvas to Fortune 500 Company, or any other company that we want to target as investment. Please add Business Model Canvas' analysis of any company you have interest in. I provide some here. I hope we can have diverse Canvas example from different company industry, here. Canvas is a great tool to get quick grasp of reading company's financial statement and any info about company. It's like mapping the financial statement of the company or any articles about the company.

Permalink Reply by Aristo Purboadji on December 28, 2011 at 1:28pm What is a Private Equity's Canvas look like? Since I find no example, whether in the book (read most part of it, but admit not all) or web then I decide to start at some point. From wikipedia I found article about Private Equity which is listed (so that we can get info about financial statement, since most private equity is as its name suggets, private). One of the example if Kohlberg Capital Corporation , with ticker code KCAP. From the offical website, I extract the canvas. Please revise if u see any is needed.

Permalink Reply by Karl Burrow on January 9, 2012 at 5:18am One area of key focus that needs to be addressed is what are the key value propositions that both PE and PB business models offer to the customer segment. I would think this should be carefully detailed . To add to this PE business model evolve of time and on market trends and by country(example in Japan and Asia)... perhaps thinking about what the future scenarios in this business would be like.
Any thoughts?
