The Business Model Hub1.0 has served our purpose of writing a book well. Now that we achieved this goal the energy levels (i.e. discussions) are close to 0.

To revive the Hub, we propose to open it up for free to a global audience and modify its structure on the fly. The new goal of the Hub will be to
Connect a global audience of business model innovation practitioners and researchers to foster the exchange of knowledge and experience and build further tools...
So many people are now using the Business Model Canvas and the content of the book. It is becoming urgent to connect all these experiences in one place - on our Hub!

What do you think?

I think you/we need to - we can add case studies (and obviously keep things anonymous if needed), share learning, tools (e.g, I love the BM Design ER application - http://bmdesigner.com/) - and it reinforces the thesis of the book - yes!
Go for it! More the merrier. Thanks for asking.
I would certainly support this approach. There are many people out there, subjects of our projects or targets of our presentations, who would love to learn more and have the chance to share their thoughts and needs with the hub.

I concur with Deborah, I too would love to see case studies and examples of pother people's work in business models and innovation.
I think it is a great idea! The book was a great x-mas gift and almost half the people I gave it have asked me how to get access to the hub and to the network. From that experience alone (about 20 people standing outside in the cold, queing to get in) I think it is a great idea.

Go for it!
Great idea. Lines up with a manifesto I just read today

You have my permission to publish my small contributions here.
@ Alex, I love and support the idea.
@ all hub members. Wow. I am looking forward to see the Hub "alive" again with all the wonderful stories to share on business and life ;-) I really missed it!

Cheers Patrick
That's what we expect !
Dear Alex,

first of all, congratulations to you and your team for the amazing success of the book.

Opening up the Hub for free is the appropriate strategic move to the right time. We at UnternehmerTUM work with the Canvas and all our EMBA students (Executive Program in Innovation and Business Creation ) are about to order the book. They would like both the discount and to enter the Hub to share their ideas, cases and experiences.

Best, Axel
I suppose that opening up the hub and creating an environment in which both practical and theoretical information can be brought together is the most promising extention of the hub.

Within the research environment I am graduating there is already an initiative to create a webspace where research and practical information in gathered. The opened hub would be a suitable environment for this.

So... yes... open it up.
Alex, I agree with you, my fellow Hubbers and I hope our future Hub members. Now is the ideal time to build a valuable business model network. The value to us all will increase as the membership and use rises.
Yes, sure, it is in line with the logical evolution and for a better sharing of experience and value in the community. It will not change the sense of being there from the beginning :-) Thanks for asking anyway. Ciao Carlo
Biz books are a means to an end. To an ongoing end. So, yes, let's keep the Hub open and actual.
