Let us see what the collective intelligence here can tell us about what to expect in 2011. What will be the new business models that gain prominence? Or are there more traditional models making a comeback? And what will be the really innovative and exiting (but unproven) models that we will see emerging?

A possible trend that will may take off/continue (?) is online going massively offline - mix of location-awareness, multi-media (including augmented reality), social network with financial aspects such as advertising and discounts for friends and groups.
Some Key words:
Social-Mobile-Location based services-Virtual products-Rich Internet Apps
i am so interesting about the model of Groupon, it's a great idea! we can see the power of collective purchase

however, it has been more than 1000+ similar websites in China so far.

It's my first time to come here, hope to find some thing new about business model.

nice to meet you guys!
If anyone wants to do some thing related to china market, feel free to contact me, maybe we can do it together

Hi Ricky, nice to meet you.

Do you see some new things in the Chinese market that are not in the Western market (yet)?
hey Erwin, thanks for your reply.

the question you ask is too big to answer,i thought that the most of new things which does not appeared in western market are mainly based upon Chinese custom and culture, maybe not appropriate for western market. for instance, KARAOKE may not appropriate in western market.

Do you have any ideas about IOT(internet over things)? This theory is quite popular in China at moment, but i did not see anything real so far
