Profile Information

Why are you passionate about business models and business model innovation?
I have always had an interest in trying to understand what makes a business work, what differentiates them from the competition, and what there potential is as a business moving forward. Business Models provide a way to visually make sense of a business in its current state, which then allows you to draw conclusions through SWOT analysis and then address the SWOT's with an innovative "to be" Business Model.

I have had some experience using the Dr. Alexander Osterwalder BM approach at work. I thought it was a very useful exercise because it is so visual which helps in facilitating the dicussion for subject matter experts. Now I am looking to use that experience to define my current workplaces "as is" model with the hope of producing an innovative "to be" model.
