Profile Information

Why are you passionate about business models and business model innovation?
For 9 years I worked as a b2b publisher in the Netherlands. I did a lot of experimenting with earning models for new online products. With a lot of failures and a few successes. That was a great time, but management thought it was to 'different' and 'dangerous'. My biggest lesson was that you can't just change your earning model without changing your business model.

In september 2008 I organised a Seminar 'Winning businessmodels in new media'. Alex was one of the speakers that day. His model showed me I had been on the right track. I want to go back to those experimenting days.
How would you best describe your level of expertise when it comes to business models?
knowledgeable
What industry do you mainly work in (e.g. financial services, telco, utilities, public sector, academia, pharma...)?
publishing, congress
What is the size of the organization you work for?
freelance/independant
