Why are you passionate about business models and business model innovation?
After many years of field experience I’ve returned to Spain and I’m seeing how the current crisis is affecting business. As professor at a Business School and as a consultant I’m very much interested in facing the intellectual challenge of how to help people and companies to change in a direction that allow them to survive and compete
How would you best describe your level of expertise when it comes to business models?
Currently I have to hats: one, as professor –Lecturer- at IESE Business School in Madrid at the MBA Executive Program and other Executive Programs where I’m teaching Business Analysis and Resolution and also HR.
The second hat is a consultant one. I set up my own firm. At the beginning of my career I worked for one the largest multinational consulting firms in Organization and HR matters with more than fifty organizations in Spain.
Now, I’m trying to work with companies to find ways to be more productive –business and people- by giving not only advice but also helping then in the implementation process, as I have experience developed during many years working with more that 20 countries in process of change in large multinational companies like Philip Morris, Nabisco and Kraft Foods.
What industry do you mainly work in (e.g. financial services, telco, utilities, public sector, academia, pharma...)?
academia and consulting
What is the size of the organization you work for?
