Why are you passionate about business models and business model innovation?
I am a CA and former business owner, now an Academic Chair in a large community college School of Business, and am also pursuing a DBA in Higher Education Management. My particular research interest is institutional entrepreneurship, and I strongly believe that the true innovation in the education sector will not be just technology-based, but will lie in the innovative business models we must create in order to use technology to its fullest potential, and to provide education to the greatest number of people at a reasonable cost.
How would you best describe your level of expertise when it comes to business models?
Who do you work for? What do you do?
I now work in postsecondary education, as described above. My current position is Chair - Financial, Office & Legal Studies, at Algonquin College.
What industry do you mainly work in (e.g. financial services, telco, utilities, public sector, academia, pharma...)?
