Business Model for an In-house Ad Agency

Hi!My company is planning to implement an in-house ad or creative agency into the company. There is already a strong marketing team which is mainly focused on marketing tactics. However my bosses don't want to spend a lot of money on creative agencies in hope to get the big idea especially as our target group is quite special. So I got the task to create some models on how the agency could work on two levels:First it needs to be an in-house agency delivering creative campaigns for the whole…See More

Profile Information

Why are you passionate about business models and business model innovation?
As the entrepreneurial spark hit me a year ago I am quite passionate about creating my own business model combining my business education with my second designrelatd education. The book with it's core message that new business model generation needs design processes to flourish inspired me and gave me the sign that my thinking approach is the thinking of the future. My approach is not knowledge or fact based, although a fine base is there, but more principle based, as nowadays not knowledge is the key but creative thinking and combining of different knowledge as well as to know where to get the right knowledge and how to use it for your success.
How would you best describe your level of expertise when it comes to business models?
some knowledge
Who do you work for? What do you do?
Currently I work for one of the major medical devices companies in the world as a strategic procurement manager. However most task within the company before procurement department were concept related in order to create new models for environmental and quality management systems as well as a supplier audit managment model in my master thesis. The business model canvas would have helped me in the past and surely will in the future
What industry do you mainly work in (e.g. financial services, telco, utilities, public sector, academia, pharma...)?
medical devices, design
What is the size of the organization you work for?
10'000+
Do you want to add anything? Feel free. Any topic.
I am currently in a career transition phase from economic business to the creative industry as the fulfillment and freedom to spin ideas and models is much more freely. So I set 2011 as an orientation year, where I won't decide where exactly I will position myself. The idea is when you start on a new way you meet a lot of interesting people and attract likeminded people. Thiese encounters generate a lot of ideas. My restriction that no decision can be meade in 2011 relates to this because I don't want to get hooked by the first idea. Quantity first, Quality later !

BUSINESS GAME

After I finished the Business Model Generation I had an idea: Why not creating a board game for visionaries, game changers, entrepeneurs and whoever likes to create some business idea in a fun way?

I am a board game passionate especially in the more sophisticated, strategic sector. I had the idea long ago to create a game where managerial decisions are reflected in a board game in order to show managers how their decisions impact the company as well as the lives of their employees.…
