Andrea, so good to hear from you! I suggest focusing on your professional life first - considering yourself a one-person enterprise, and figuring out who your Customers are and what your VP is. Depending on how that goes, you may then want to…

Overview of DJ business models

For years now I am traveling to Ibiza in summer. The beautiful white Island is a great source of inspiration. Beaches, haciendas, restaurants and clubs. Unbelievable to see that such small island hosts so many clubs that are open every single day with great DJ's. Unbelievable because prices of tickets start from 40 euros up to 80 euros and prices of drinks start from 10 euros not to mention the VIP arrangements where people pay up to 30.000 euros for a table. How do they make that work in…See More

Authors meet Designers in Lausanne

Posted on April 28, 2009 at 10:01am 1 Comment

Hi all,

This morning Alex and I picked up Alan Smith and Mike Overdijk at the hotel at the lake. Unfortunately it is raining... Well, that makes us working. Nobody slept very well last night. I guess because it will be a busy and exciting day. A lot to do.

Finally we have the whole team together today! As Alan is based in London, Yves and Alex in Lausanne and Mike and myself in Amsterdam it is not easy to meet up. And everyone has a busy schedule as well... Writing,… Continue

How do you visualize the Canvas?

Posted on April 22, 2009 at 5:30pm 1 Comment

Visualization is a very important element of the Canvas and... the book. But how can you best visualize the Business Model Canvas? Xplane worked on visualization of iPod and Nespresso. I use these beautiful picture many times as it is so easy to explain the Business Model. They also came up with the icons of each of the building blocks.

But what would the Business Model Canvas look like if we visualize it breaking down the walls of the building blocks? Is that possible? What are the… Continue

Amazing is the response I got from people personally about the Knowledge Fair Event in Amsterdam. So great from all of you! Thanks! As we like the Fair to be a knowledge sharing and networking event on business modeling for and by the Hub your help is more than welcome.

I asked what people would like to see and do. Here a short overview:

Concrete case studies. Many people (ao Remo Knops, Thierry Isck) are interested in cases/ companies where the methodology is… Continue
