Why are you passionate about business models and business model innovation?

I am interested in identifying a few business models for a few NGO's that I currently work with. I see the struggle in many NGO's, relying on grants and foundations and donors to support the programs of these hard-working organizations, it's important for each organization to identify their own internal business model that can sustain the work of these organizations, including the organizations I currently represent.

Who do you work for? What do you do?

My background is in architecture and design. I am currently on a Fellowship Program with an NGO in Mumbai that focuses on improving the health of women and children in some of the most vulnerable communities here in Mumbai - communities that lack access to basic services such as clean water, sanitation, proper housing and health care. I also founded my own nonprofit organization based in San Diego, CA called Rebuild Global. We match architects and designers with community based organizations
