"Wellcome Marcelo! Excellent comment! Well, I thing that is exactly the great value of visualization of a business model. You could set your business model but once you have structured it, you begin the game (because its literally a game for me) and…"

Some words that we should to use less and less......

When I see the framework of the business model canvas its interesting to point out that there is no mention about competitive, instead, it talk about partners. It doesn't say that we have to forget about the competitive arena but change our point of view about it. We've been, for decades, in terms of competitiveness. To be the first among everybody in the same way to do determined activity. Chasing the excellence, to be above the average, watching too much in the rearview mirror for any sign of…See More

Profile Information

Why are you passionate about business models and business model innovation?
the opportunity to play like a child. I remember when I was playing with my LEGO blocks, there were no boundaries and everything that you created fixed perfectly. You did not have to worry about failures just gave it a try again and again and.......again, so, in the path of improving something I found an ocean of possibilities. Now, after reading the BMG, things seems like when I was in the living room with and empty box and a mountain of Lego pieces making their way to endless possibilities. Is the best way that I have to describe it.
How would you best describe your level of expertise when it comes to business models?
novice
Who do you work for? What do you do?
Im seeking for a job. At the moment I'm teaching in the Universidad de Chile, in Santiago de Chile. I'm an assistant professor of a Business Plan workshop for the MBA. I have experience in the fresh cut flower industry. I'm Agribusiness Engineer and I have a MBA degree at the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñeaz from Santiago de Chile.
What industry do you mainly work in (e.g. financial services, telco, utilities, public sector, academia, pharma...)?
Academia, financial advice, business plan development, agribusiness
What is the size of the organization you work for?
freelance/independant
Do you want to add anything? Feel free. Any topic.
I'm seeing day by day a whole world of opportunities in improvement, specially in agribusiness. When I go out I take pictures of every single thin that call my attention. But sometimes my head is chaotic, I need to have some convergence process.

I was thinking about the scenario of the organizations, specially in Latam, few years ago, about 5 or 6 years I would say, pretty much everything was about management, the fanatical task of controlling, reduce costs, reduce the variability was the duty. The outstanding skill of an executive those days was the continuous improvement process then, the ISO certification (International Organization for Standardization). Most organizations were chasing this quality label.

Now, that I'm…
