Why are you passionate about business models and business model innovation?

My uncle was an OB/GYN and he called himself one of the "happy doctors" because he got to bring new life into the world, an inherently joyful activity. I like to think of myself as one of the "happy consultants" because I get to help clients bring new value into the world through innovation. Business model innovation is one of those important areas where companies can create value.

I am the president of Strategy Innovations, a consulting firm dedicted to helping clients drive growth through innovation. We do that by helping clients gain a clear understanding of their customers' unmet needs to inspire new products and services and new business models as well.

What industry do you mainly work in (e.g. financial services, telco, utilities, public sector, academia, pharma...)?

Our expertise is a functional skill in discovering customers' needs, determining which are unmet, and using this information to guide the creation of new and improved offerings. This transcends any one industry and is applicable to virtually all industries.
