Teaching Canvas to base of the pyramid

Teaching the canvas model to "people with needs" or underprivileged has been a challenge, but the results and improvements are the core that gives us the strength to continue in our venture. We, as Emprediem, will continue teaching entrepreneurship and innovation to the base of the pyramid. In our country, PYMEs (small and medium size companies) are the ones that empower Chile, so if we have the capacity to improve their structures and make them more creative and innovative, they will surely be able to generate corporate entrepreneurship with a strong and well organize business model.
What is truly amazing is to see these individuals interiorizing the nine points of Canvas, thus making it easier for them in achieving their goals by understanding in a better way their business.
One of Chile's ethnic origins are the Mapuches. This indian culture is still strong and lives in the south of our country. What its important about this is that they understand the pure concepts of globalization in business terms and how they utilize, in their own way, design thinking to create an interesting supply to tourists by presenting their culture.
In conclusion we have understood that not only the Canvas Model can be explained to everyone but it really helps everyone. The most important thing is that we have proven this.

Comment by Sebastián Salinas Claro on September 30, 2011 at 8:44pm: Este año esperamos implementar el programa de dos meses intensivos en Kenia, el próximo año hacerlo nuevamente con mas gente en el mismo país, y traer el modelo a Chile a mediados del 2012, así crearíamos chileworks.org , para después llevarlo a todo el mundo, tal vez argentinaworks.org podría ser la tercera parada.

Y así erradicar la pobreza a través del emprendimiento. Haciendo a la gente parte del problema y la solución.

Comment by Sebastián Salinas Claro on July 31, 2011 at 12:13am: The mosto important thing is always say yes, to all tris people everyone has tell them that they could never do something, they have no chances o succed, the came bad lince the were born, so always you have to triad to tell them that they all right, i mean never asid to them, ¨no you dont have idea, thats wrong¨ you have to take them to the answer that you expected by asking the right questions to them, not by giving the answers easily.

I have kids that at the end of the class start crying, and I asked them why are you crying?
they told nobody has told me that i can.

ITS AMAZING what you can do, and the changes that you could make if you compromise with them

I just finished commenting to Mike Lachapelle regarding his excellent one in BM applied to Healt cases.

Amazingly, without Knowing about your post about BPO`s Prahalad teaching experience.

I was commenting him that some 6-7 years ago I was working in cases using Prahalad BOP ideas, to help in Peru, Colombia and particularly Venezuela, in Public Health-Education-Food CSR project-issues.

Did you document something (as p.e. a BOP entrepreneurs BMcanvas...) about your experience?

If you can share something, just tell me.

In the meantime, I will start asap to be documenting my BOP past experiences, using the BMC ...
