In my discussions with an organization here in Ottawa that supports young entrepreneurs, the program coordinator asked me make some recommendations for the potential entrepreneurs to read and to follow. I thought this would also be good to share with the hub community as it is very relevant to business models and innovation

- Business Model Generation by Alexander Osterwalder &Yves Pigneur (my bible - I think everyone knows this one)

- Seizing The White Space by Mark Johnson (some alternate, interesting ideas)

Customer Development

- 4 Steps To The Epiphany by Steven Gary Blank

- An Entrepreneurs Guide To Customer Development by Brant Cooper and Patrick Vlaskovits

Design thinking

- Change By Design by Tim Brown

- The Design of Business by Roger Martin

- The Art of Innovation by Tom Kelley

Lean startup practices

- The Lean Startup by Eric Ries (book coming out in the fall) his blog meantime http://www.startuplessonslearned.com/)

Presentation Skills
