... where visionaries, game changers, and challengers discuss business models
Hi everyone and thanks for including me in your BMO innovation hub.
My name is Arthur Hermansen, and I have spent my life as a creator and entertainer with other professions in architecture, Web, marketing and Event Design/Management.
I currently am reading Blue Ocean alongside BMO and find them great. I hope to utilize what they teach me for the models I am building now.
Thanks for letting me join, and I look forward to contributing more content as I learn and to learn from you as well.
Sincerely,
Arthur Hermansen

A tool from Blue Ocean that I find most useful in the BM innovation or startup space is the four actions framework. It is a great way to examine the customer-value proposition, that is the core of any good business model.
In the startup environment the tool is important when you are re-segmenting a market, looking to create a niche, or entering an existing market (playing in the red ocean).
In existing companies trying to launch a new product line or looking to create some innovations it can provide some key insights to opportunities.
