Recently the mobile phone company has announced a £50m investment in transforming its service model into a device oriented model. As a case study I have mapped out the model to see how the change to its value proposition impacted other aspects of the model. I also used the business model environment diagram to illustrate the forces at work. I aim to contrast this model with a small local grocery store that tweaked aspects of its business model rather than created an entirely new or transformative one.
My purpose is to show the different applications of the same tool and its appeal to large and small firms alike. This is my first go at using the concepts, so any feedback would be welcome.
