Tips on Choosing Your Advertising Platform

When it comes to advertising, there is no one size fits all theory in play. The type of marketing that you do as well as the medium that you opt for should be dependent on your business. No matter how creative, what works for one company may fizzle with another. It is all about matching the advertising platform to your brand. As the internet and its many social media outlets grow more prolific, it can be difficult to decide which path to take. To make this a little easier, consider each of these questions and then determine your avenue:

Who Is Your Target Audience?

One of the first things that you are going to have to do is to determine your target audience. The consumers that you are catering to are probably quite specific unless you have a product or service that entices all. Thus, it is important to decide who will be seeing your advertisements. Is it young children, teenagers, Millennials, middle aged, or senior citizens? The categories can be further broken down to gender, income, interests, and a variety of other topics. One of the reasons that it is important to identify your consumers is to that you will know what won’t be effective. For instance, taking to the internet will not be too helpful if you are targeting senior citizens. You will probably be better off with billboards Melbourne.

What Is Your Message?

Another thing you should consider is the message that you are trying to send out. If you are trying to advertise a sale or a new product, a few ads online or in newspapers may be enough. Of course, if you planning on a major blowout sale then perhaps think about radio marketing. If you are going for something a little bit more personalized or community based, you may want to consider TV or YouTube. Images or small ads on websites are ideal if you do not want to provide consumers with too much of information. If you want to share a considerable amount of information and still make it engaging, you should definitely try videos.

What is Your Budget?

Any expert will tell you that advertising is an investment and not an expense. This is why you should carefully consider how much you can afford to spend and how much you expect in return. You need to take the above questions into consideration when deciding your answer to this one. For instance, who are you trying to attract and what do you want your message to say? Now think about what you hope to gain. Do you want greater brand awareness, more customers, or higher sales? While they may seem related, these do not necessarily go hand in hand. Now you can decide how much you are willing to spend to get the intended results.

Answer these questions to the best of your abilities to decide how you want to advertise your business.
