Hi Stephen,

In answer to your two questions.....(1) "How do you think business model innovation will develop in China" - Business models are developing all the time and expanding rapidly. In resent years, the attention has moved to the domestic market more than just exports. This is the case in my project too.
Question (2) "do you think western brands will invest in teaching their Chinese operations for example?" - Yes, they are now. A company must choose it partners carefully as well as the part of the operations they want to move to China. I'm seeing a lot of successful component production shifts.

I'm now reading THE FORTUNE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PYRAMID by C. K. Prahalad. He has a new addition out, and it gives some good business models for China in it as well as all developing countries.

Always open to constructive collaborations. Stephen you are building a netowrk within the BMIH- for what purpose?

Simply kicking around, developing up, partnering?

Dear Stephen,
Thanks for your invitation. I would be very interested to work together.
I work for the Science and Technology Council of Baja California (Mexico), and I start to apply the business model on the organization.
I hope we can learn a lot from both.
Have a nice day,
Kenia

Hi Stephen, thanks for your contact.
I believe we can work together, why not? The more discussion is generated, the more it is possible to learn.

Thank you Stephen! I am now getting my feet wet on this approach to business models and hope to be making lots of comments to the conversations that are happening.

We are about to use the canvas and model with a public university continuing education division. I am also going to teach the tools in my fall MBA class. I have used varieties of these approaches for over 30 years in launching 40 companies in 12 countries (36 still going) but never had such a nice packaging of the tools. I really like the vocabulary and flow.

A few years ago I helped found and launch the CSU Global Campus pubic online university and we took this approach but used Blue Ocean as our strategy model to find the new market space. The key to success turned out not to be Blue Ocean, but a different business model.

Dear Steven,

I would be very interested in seeing some case studies. I work for the professional service organization for America's not-for-profit theatre. Although theatre related studies would be ideal, I would be interested in seeing all not-for-profit arts case studies. My e-mail address is reglsaer@tcg.org. My organization's website is www.tcg.org.

Thanks!

Hi Stephen-

I'm working on a short workshop on Business Model Innovation for entrepreneurs, perhaps that will be of interest once it goes through beta. But otherwise my plate runneth over.

Hi Steven,

Thank you for reaching out. I am afraid that now does not appear that my organization has the resources to put into an aggressive study of new business models. It looks like we are going to begin with small scale internal research. I think that there may be opportunities for collaboration in the future.

Cheers!

Hi Stephen, I can not answer on behalf of Scalado since I'm merely writing my thesis, but me and my partner have been given the task to look at new possible business models. Therefore I doubt that Scalado is willing to pay for any similar work, but I will mention your company for Scalado's Head of Business Development.
