MESSAGE TO MEMBERS ON SPAM:

There has been a recent issue with spam being sent to some members of the Hub. We thank one of the recipients for brining this to our attention. We strive to ensure the Hub remains a community of learning and sharing. We are under constant effort by people and bots to break in. 

Our registration survey serves as an entrance barrier to automated attempts to have access to our community. However, occasionally a person filling out the form will provide credible answers to the questions and gain access. Recently we have had a bot trying to gain access through the registration process and this meant half the applications were attributed to this bot.

If the someone is approved then starts to send direct messages to members, or posting comments on their walls, it can sometimes slip by the monitoring of posted comments.

We appreciate the members who take the time to notify us when they receive such messages or comments. We take action as soon as possible to correct the matter and suspend the offending person. Our track record has been good over the last few month.
